About Lane Furniture
Lane Furniture
Lane Furniture got its start in 1912, when it was known as the Standard Red Cedar Chest Company owned by John Lane and his son Ed. For nearly 40 years they exclusively made cedar chests (many of which are treasured family heirlooms in American homes today). In 1951 they began making occasional tables as well as chests. Then came a broader variety of casegoods in 1956, and accent pieces in 1965. Lane took their time learning the craft before diving into new ventures. Today, Lane Furniture is mostly known for their upholstered furniture.

Styling Lane Furniture
Styling your Lane Furniture is definitely some of the most fun you can have. There is no shortage of fun, funky mid-century modern styles that look incredible no matter where you put them. This style of furniture was designed to be functional and engaging, with finishes that tend to be lighter than more traditional solid wood furniture. Mid-century means clean lines and a lack of ornamentation. If you want something with a little more detailing, vintage Lane offers beautiful Chinoiserie, Chippendale, and Italina Provincial styles as well. For those who truly desire functional furniture that will melt into the background, Lane’s contemporary styles are bound to please.
